** FLOOD WATCH LIFTED AND SUNNIER CONDITIONS ON THE WAY **

Flood Watch lifted, and sunnier conditions on the way

All flood watches in Southern Alberta has been lifted for all towns in Southern Alberta due to the forecasted amount of rain that was predicted, not near as much fell. Its going to be in the twenties for the rest of the week, but Friday and Saturday could be both Severe thunderstorm days for Southern Alberta, but because it is still far in the future the models may change, but as of right now Friday and Saturday will be Potential Severe Thunderstorm days for Southern Alberta. On Friday afternoon Cape (Convective Available Potential Energy) Cape is the Available Convective Energy in the Atmosphere, Which is energy for a Severe storm to develop, on Friday Cape values Could reach as high as 1500 which is enough for Severe Thunderstorms to develop and on Saturday even more cape up to 2000 which would be able to produce very severe thunderstorms in Southern Alberta.

Lifted index is how unstable the atmosphere, and negative values indicates stronger lifting potential which is needed to initiate a Storm. Values on Friday are at around -6 which indicates strong lift and Saturday lifted index values could reach -9 which indicated Extreme lifting in the Atmosphere and could produce very severe thunderstorm with Very large hail. I will keep you up to date.
