TORNADO TOUCHES DOWN IN SOUTHERN ALBERTA

Severe thunderstorms move through southern Alberta, with a tornado



Severe thunderstorm watches were issued late this morning July 28th, Cloud towers started to develop West of Calgary shortly after near 1PM, thunderstorms developed NW of Calgary and quickly intensified into a SUPERCELL THUNDERSTORM and shortly after near 1PM - 2:00PM a TORNADO WARNING was issued for NW of Calgary including Airdrie, Cochrane, Olds areas. A Tornado touched down South of Cremona at about 2PM and threw Grain silos, Ripped roofs off houses, Threw a Semi into the ditch as well it threw a Truck and Camper into the ditch as well and demolished popular trees in the area
